Christmas traditions

Anna : Ich liebe die Weihnachtszeit! Ich finde es toll, wie jeder in dieser Zeit so freundlich und besinnlich ist.

Markus : Ja, das stimmt. Aber ich finde auch, dass sich das Weihnachtsgeschäft und der Kommerz immer mehr ausbreiten. Das ist nicht das, was ich mir unter Weihnachten vorstelle.

Klaus : Ich denke, dass wir als Verbraucher auch eine gewisse Verantwortung haben und wenn wir beim Einkaufen darauf achten, woher die Produkte kommen und wie sie hergestellt werden, können wir dabei helfen, dass sich etwas ändert. Ich finde es wichtig, dass die Menschen, die hinter den Produkten stehen, fair behandelt werden.

english I think that we as consumers also have a certain responsibility and if we pay attention to where the products come from and how they are made when we shop, we can help to change things. I think it's important that the people who stand behind the products are treated fairly.

Sandra : Ich finde es auch wichtig, dass wir die Traditionen pflegen. Wir sollten uns daran erinnern, warum wir eigentlich Weihnachten feiern und diese Werte an unsere Kinder weitergeben. Wir können auch unsere eigenen Weihnachtstraditionen schaffen und so unsere eigenen, persönlichen Erinnerungen schaffen.

english I also think that it's important that we maintain traditions. We should remember why we actually celebrate Christmas and pass on these values to our children. We can also create our own Christmas traditions and thus create our own personal memories.

Anna : Wir könnten zum Beispiel alle zusammen eine wohltätige Aktion starten, wie das Spenden von Geschenken an bedürftige Familien oder das Helfen in einer Suppenküche.

Hans : Das klingt super! Ich denke, dass das genau das ist, was Weihnachten ausmacht - der Gedanke, an andere zu denken und ihnen zu helfen.
